Art Therapy for Individuals with Cancer (NEW AT NORTH CYPRESS)

Join us for this unique and complimentary art therapy class to help manage the physical and emotional problems of cancer by using painting to express emotions. The location for this program will be at North Cypress Medical Center (main hospital building) in the room adjacent to the cafeteria.
Yoga & Visualization
Tuesday, January 26th at 6:00pm
Join us for this complimentary class for all levels of yoga participants to help individuals with cancer enhance their physical and emotional wellness. Please bring your own yoga mat.
Monthly Meetings every 1st Tuesday; 12:00- 1:30pm
The group is for individuals coping with various kinds of cancer, including patients, their families, and friends. It provides an opportunity for those touched with cancer to share their experiences and assists them in learning how to live with cancer.
Coping with Women's Cancer
Monthly meetings every 2nd Tuesday 6:00 - 7:30 pm
The group is for women coping with breast cancer and offers an uplifting, safe place for women to come and share their common experiences, problems and solutions, as well as obtain information regarding community resources.
On-Line Support/Discussion Group
Through the American Cancer Society’s Cancer Survivor’s Network, a variety of on-line support/discussion groups are available for individuals with cancer and their loved-ones. Topics range from specific disease sites to emotional support to humor to many other issues. These forums are available to post questions, answers, or comments about various aspects of your cancer experience such as diagnosis, treatment, relationships, or taking care of someone with cancer. Prostate cancer is the most common non-skin cancer in America. It is estimated that there are more than 2 million American men currently living with prostate cancer. In honor of Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, North Cypress Medical Center is offering FREE Prostate Screenings, including PSA testing and a physical examination.
