DON JULIO'S DONATES $7,000 TO THE NORTH CYPRESS
Cypress, TX, 8/26/10- The North Cypress Cancer Center was presented with a $7,000 donation from Don Julio's Mexican Restaurant on Thursday, August 19, 2010. The monetary donation will be used by North Cypress Medical Center to help directly assist the patients of the North Cypress Cancer Center.
On July 4, 2010, the local Cypress restaurant held a fundraising event to help raise funds for the North Cypress Cancer Center. The event included a live band on the Don Julio's large outdoor patio, multiple raffle ticket sales for different high-end items, savory Mexican cuisine, and fun for guests of all ages. The winner of the grand prize raffle won a new 2010 Harley Davidson motorcycle. Raffle tickets were sold for $100 each and all proceeds went to the North Cypress
Dr. Robert A. Behar, M.D., North Cypress Medical Center Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer, proudly accepted the donation from the owner of Don Julio's, Sam Rivera, in the North Cypress Medical Center hospital lobby. Members of the Cy-Fair Chamber of Commerce, the North Cypress Medical Center, and the Cypress community were in attendance of the presentation. Anthony Tranchina, Director of the North Cypress Cancer Center, greatly appreciates the donation from Don Julio's Mexican Restaurant and is "excited to use the funds to help directly assist the patients of North Cypress Cancer Center."
